Karloff #6

Boris Karloff as Galloway from THE CRIMINAL CODE (1931), a good early sound prison film where Boris plays a prison inmate. This role would lead to him being cast as The Monster in FRANKENSTEIN that same year. It is interesting to see Boris Karloff just before he played the Monster in the iconic make-up, a role that would make him a star. I enjoyed sculpting this bust because this character is a very good study of Karloff’s likeness at the time. Made in 2016.
